The hardest thing about emotions? We’re taught to run from them.
Pain? Numb it.
Sadness? Cheer up.
Anxiety? Just think positive.
Grief? Move on.
Therapists say sitting with your emotions is how you heal. But no one tells you how to do that.
So here’s where you start:
🖊 Name it—Instead of saying, “I feel awful,” say, “I feel anxious, lonely, overwhelmed.” Naming it makes it smaller.
🌊 Find it in your body – Emotions aren’t just in your head. Do you feel it in your chest? Your throat? Your stomach? Put your hand there. Breathe into it.
🧘 Stop fighting it – You don’t have to like how you feel. But what if you just let it be? What if you didn’t try to change it, just for a moment?
💬 Offer yourself compassion – If a friend felt this way, what would you say? It’s okay to feel this. You’re not broken. You’re allowed to take up space.
⏳ Give it time – Feelings don’t last forever. You don’t have to rush through them. Just sit. Just stay. Just breathe.
Your emotions aren’t here to hurt you. They’re here to be heard.
And the moment you stop running? They finally stop chasing.

Item will be sent in a shipping tube to minimize on shipping. To prepare the poster for framing, here's how to flatten it back straight.
Method 1: Roll the Poster Back on Itself
- Pull the cap off the top of the tube.
- Remove your poster from the tube by tipping it until it slides partly out. Do not try and pinch or pull it out from inside the tube as this can cause wrinkles and creases.
- Straighten the poster out on a clean, flat surface so that it’s design down.
- Carefully roll the poster around the outside of the tube, the opposite way to which it has previously been rolled.
- Secure with a sticker or rubber bands.
- Leave this for an hour.
- Remove sticker or rubber bands and unroll to reveal a flat poster ready for framing.
Method 2: Weigh the Poster Down
- Repeat steps 1 & 2 from method 1.
- Roll out and straighten the poster on a clean, flat and hard surface (like a table)
- Place something heavy on each corner and in the middle to weigh it down. Books work particularly well.
- Leave this for 24 hours.
- Remove weights to reveal a flat poster ready for framing.
